![]() Select a time period based on how close the camera is to the subject as well as how much movement you anticipate. Preview what the camera is seeing, try to get it framed well, the less you tinker after you begin, the higher quality and less jittery your video will be! Is it a close up, wide angle with a lot of scenery? In any case try to set your camera up in a position where it will be mounted stably and will not be moved during the entire course of the video. Spend a lot of time thinking about what kind of video you're making and where the camera will be placed. I describe steps need to use virtual dub later. It's moderately difficult to use however! TNL is nice as it will build the timelapse video from the files it generates. Another free program i've used is TNL timelapse. I currently use booru webcam for my webcam capture software. These are much easier when getting started! TNL/Candylabs are examples of this. Some programs also let you create your videos directly. There are many software options to capture your images. Try to use one with manual focus control, as many webcams do not let you manually focus. For most people a webcam will be sufficient. Any camera can be used however in this guide I will be using a webcam.Īny camera may be used. They are affordable and in some cases can provide decent resolution.
